Frequently Asked
Questions
Your Questions. Answered.
Who is The Ascend Method™ for?
The Ascend Method™ is designed for current and emerging healthcare leaders preparing for leadership assessments, structured interviews, simulations, promotions, and expanded responsibility. It is relevant across clinical, operational, administrative, and executive leadership roles.
What types of assessments does the program help me prepare for?
The program helps you prepare for common forms of healthcare leadership evaluation, including situational judgment questions, leadership competency assessments, structured interviews, business simulations, and other hiring or advancement exercises. It is not created for one specific employer or assessment provider.
Is Ascend affiliated with a hospital or assessment provider?
No. Ascend is an independent educational company. The Ascend Method™ is not owned, endorsed, or administered by a hospital, health system, employer, or assessment provider.
Will my employer see my results?
Ascend does not provide employers with access to your individual course progress, practice results, or personal reflections. Your preparation remains separate from your employer or prospective employer unless you choose to share information yourself.
How long does the program take to complete?
Most learners should expect to spend approximately 10 to 12 hours completing the full program, including lessons, practice questions, competency assessments, and the final assessment. Completion time will vary depending on reading pace and the amount of reflection or review completed.
How long will I have access?
You will have 12 months of access from the date of enrollment. During that period, you may revisit lessons, practice activities, resources, and eligible community content at your own pace.
Does the program guarantee that I will pass an assessment?
No educational program can guarantee an assessment result, interview outcome, promotion, or employment decision. The Ascend Method™ is designed to improve your preparation, strengthen your leadership reasoning, and help you communicate your experience more effectively.
Does the program include exact employer assessment questions?
No. The Ascend Method™ does not provide confidential, copied, or proprietary employer assessment questions, screenshots, or answer choices.
The program uses original practice scenarios designed to help you understand the leadership competencies being evaluated, recognize stronger leadership reasoning, and apply those principles across different assessments and interviews.
Will the program teach me the correct answers?
The program explains why certain responses typically demonstrate stronger leadership judgment and why other responses may be less effective.
It is designed to strengthen how you think through leadership situations, not give you a script to memorize or suggest that every employer scores responses in exactly the same way.
Is this only for nurses?
No. The Ascend Method™ is designed for healthcare professionals across clinical, operational, administrative, and executive roles.
It may be especially relevant to nurse leaders, but it also supports professionals preparing for leadership opportunities in operations, service lines, administration, quality, strategy, and other areas of healthcare.
Can I complete the program at my own pace?
Yes. The Ascend Method™ is self-paced.
You may complete the program according to your own schedule and return to lessons, practice activities, explanations, and resources throughout your access period.
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes. Learners who meet the program completion requirements receive a certificate of completion from The Ascend Method™.
The certificate confirms completion of the program. It is not a professional license, academic degree, board certification, or employer-issued credential.
Is a community included?
Yes. Enrolled learners receive access to The Ascend Community during their eligible access period.
The community provides a private space for course discussions, leadership practice, reflection, milestones, and shared learning. Participation is optional, and members are expected to protect confidential employer, candidate, and organizational information.
